Fix for Porsche OEM rear camera not working properly with P2000 installed

 

For a Porsche with OEM TV built in, the OEM TV module must be FO (fiber optic) bypassed in order to use the P2000 CarPlay interface. However, the OEM rear camera will not function properly under CarPlay mode after the OEM TV module is bypassed.

Here is the fix:

For Cayenne

On the Cayenne OEM TV module, you will find:

A connector: Black color, with fiber optic

D connector: Blue color

Please locate pin A5 from the black connector and locate pin D7 from the blue connector, use an extra wire to short A5 and D7 together.

Plug both A and K connectors back into the TV module. Please note that the OEM TV module is only FO bypassed, it must be still connected to the power cable.
